Cookie Policy

Effective September 8, 2026.

Short version: this site sets one cookie, it exists only to stop other websites forging submissions on your behalf, and it holds nothing about you.

Every cookie this site sets

Complete list. There are no others.
NamePurposeLastsType
PHPSESSID Holds a random token that is checked when you submit the quote form, so that a different website cannot submit it on your behalf. It contains no name, no contact details and no browsing history. Until you close the browser Strictly necessary
wl_admin Keeps the site owner logged in to the private admin area. It is never set for ordinary visitors — only on /admin/. Until sign-out or browser close Strictly necessary

What this site deliberately does not have

This list matters more than the one above, because these are the things that normally trigger a consent banner:

  • No analytics. No Google Analytics, no tag manager, no heatmaps, no session recording. We do not track which pages you visit.
  • No advertising or tracking pixels. Nothing from Meta, Google Ads, TikTok or any ad network. Nothing follows you to other sites.
  • No third-party embeds. No embedded video players, no maps, no social widgets, no comment systems.
  • No external fonts or scripts. Everything the page needs is served from this domain, so no other company sees your IP address as a result of your visit here.
  • No cross-site profiling, and nothing sold. We do not build a profile of you and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
So why is there no cookie banner?

Because consent rules apply to cookies that are not necessary — tracking, advertising and analytics. A cookie whose only job is to make a form you chose to use work safely is exempt. If this site ever adds analytics or advertising, this page changes and a real consent choice appears with it. Until then, a banner would be theatre.

Turning them off

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies for a site, and nothing here will break if you do — except the quote form, which will refuse your submission because it can no longer tell your browser apart from a forgery. If you would rather not use cookies at all, email us instead at quotes@hattiesburgwildliferemoval.com.

Server logs

Separately from cookies, our hosting provider keeps standard web server logs — IP address, time, page requested, browser user-agent. That is a normal part of running any website and happens whether or not you accept cookies. We use them for security and troubleshooting, not for marketing.
